Terms of Use
FlockCalc is a free planning tool. By using the site you agree to these terms — they are short and written in plain English.
What FlockCalc is
FlockCalc provides free online calculators and guides for backyard poultry keepers: coop and cage sizes, feed amounts, egg production and costs, hatch dates and similar planning figures. The tools are provided for personal planning use, free of charge, with no account required.
We may update, add or remove calculators and guides at any time, and the figures a tool uses may change if better published guidance becomes available.
Estimates, not professional advice
Every figure on this site is a planning estimate based on published extension and poultry-organisation guidance. Real birds vary: by breed, age, health, weather and management. A calculator result is a well-sourced starting point, not a guarantee of how many eggs your hens will lay or how much feed they will eat.
Nothing on FlockCalc is veterinary, legal, financial or other professional advice. Local rules on keeping poultry vary widely and always override general guidance — check your local regulations before building housing or buying birds, and consult a vet about animal health. When in doubt, give your birds more space than the minimum a calculator suggests.
Acceptable use and external links
Use the calculators freely for your own flock planning, and link to our pages whenever you like. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a volume that burdens the hosting, or present FlockCalc’s content as your own work.
Pages may link to external websites for further reading. Those links are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse the content of external sites and are not responsible for them.
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a planning estimate. Questions about these terms: email hello@flockcalc.site or see the About page.
Last updated: 2 November 2026. Continued use of the site after a change to these terms counts as acceptance of the new version.
